According to a recent study conducted by the American market research company ECP, USU is one of the world’s leading suppliers in the area of IT Asset Management and Software Asset Management (ITAM/SAM). ITAM and SAM are core disciplines for efficient IT management.

In their report, the “Tools Manager Annual Review 2008,” the analysts at ECP evaluated the products from a total of 33 software companies with respect to their offerings, the range and depth of the functions provided by their applications as well as their strategic alignment. Among these companies are 11 providers of individual solutions, 9 providers of combined solutions and 13 providers of integrated product suites, one of which is the USU suite Valuemation.

The analysts have this to say about USU: “USU offers a feature- and function-rich suite, a big product, covering a lot of ground, and ready to compete with the likes of CA, HP, IBM and Symantec.” This impressive rating puts USU right at the top in international competition.

Since 1988, USU has provided solutions for IT management and is now an international provider in Business Service Management with over 500 well-known customers, such as Poste Italiane, Woolworth, T-Online, MAN, MTU, Swiss Re or LANXESS. Valuemation is a comprehensive, modularly structured software suite featuring newly integrated technologies and functions covering all the disciplines required for ITIL-compliant Business Service Management in one powerful and convenient application. Core topics in ITIL Version 3 are already supported in the current version by such tools as the Service Knowledge Management System (SKMS) for effective knowledge transfer from the greatest variety of data sources and Service Level Management for IT operations. Supported by a Configuration Management Database (CMDB), USU applications monitor, evaluate and optimize all IT systems and components involved in controlling business processes and components. Furthermore, the integration of technology from USU’s partner inthe United States, BDNA Corporation, now makes it possible for the data pertaining to all IT devices in a network to be scanned, recorded and automatically uploaded into Valuemation. These features are further enhanced by USU’s comprehensive catalog of integrated products.
