A recent ITAM Review webinar on SAP indirect access found that 75% of ITAM Review readers felt that the topic of indirect access would be relevant soon. Conversations with ITAM Review readers suggests that the recent SAP vs. Diageo will be used as additional ammunition by SAP account managers and auditors.

Commenting on the survey, Sebastian Schoofs from SAP License Management specialists Voquz, said:

With 16% of attendees confirming that SAP already brought up the topic and a whopping 75% expressing that SAP will soon bring up the topic with them as well, the writing’s clearly on the wall: customers are tasked to investigate their exposure early if they want to reduce their financial risk. Relying on a technical analysis and establishing hard facts will be the determining factor in keeping compliance claims as low as possible.”
