Announcing Wisdom 2019

We are delighted to announce Wisdom, our UK Conference, will be returning to Twickenham Stadium on June 5^th/6^th 2019 followed by a day of in-person training on Friday 7^th.

Wisdom reflects the quality of our expert speakers and the practical advice available to attendees of our worldwide conference events, distilling the essence of those events into a single word. We’re proud of the quality of our events and we hope that adopting this common identity for all our conferences will help you to easily identify and select your favourite ITAM event.

Based on your feedback and the results of our user survey your theme this year is “Taking ITAM beyond IT”.

As our roles grow in seniority and technology changes, our scope increases and the conference will equip you to grasp these new opportunities. We are focused on helping you take ITAM beyond IT, working with new and more senior stakeholders whilst also adjusting to the challenges of managing new asset types.

Conference Tracks

We have three tracks this year – Stakeholder Engagement, Hybrid Cloud Management, and Sharing our Successes. Throughout the conference, there will be a focus on practical advice and application of real-world experience with the aim of helping you progress your careers and deliver increased value for your organisations.

The Stakeholder Engagement track will equip you with the skills to work effectively with the broader set of stakeholders that new technology brings. Also expect sessions in this track on how ITAM teams can help drive business efforts to meet security, financial audit, and compliance challenges.

Hybrid Cloud Management will focus on managing Public Cloud, SaaS and hybrid datacentres along with new deployment methodologies such as DevOps, Digital Transformation and Internet-of-Things.

Sharing our Success aims to bring you stories from the ITAM front line – more on this track in this article because it really deserves our focus. We undoubtedly don’t do enough to shout our achievements from the rooftops and positive stories breed success.

Conference Experience

To improve your conference experience, we are introducing a number of innovations this year.

Solution Spotlight

Firstly, there will be dedicated Solution Spotlight sessions. These sessions will enable you to get up to speed quickly (in 15-20 minutes maximum) on the latest innovations in tools and services. The aim is to make efficient use of your time rather than having to shoulder-surf other’s conversations in the sponsor hall.

Conference App

To build on this we are introducing a conference mobile app. The app will enable you to book 1:1 sessions with our speakers, analysts and sponsors throughout the conference. With the aim of making the conference more interactive you can also submit questions for our popular round-table and panel sessions via the app. There will be sessions hosted by our speakers where you can explore topics raised in the workshops or perhaps catch up with a session you missed. The app will be freely available to attendees prior to the conference so you can spend time planning your agenda to get the best value for your time.
