Wisdom France 2019: An event par excellence

October 3rd, 2019 saw Wisdom France 2019 take place – the first French ITAM Review event – in Paris.

What happened?

The action packed 1-day event featured 10 sessions with fantastic speakers from:

• AXA
• Softline Solutions
• Deloitte
• Snow
• Aspera
• iMUO
• Liscience

And me of course!

This was our first event in France, and it was great to see such a wonderful turnout. The funky venue (courtesy of Comet Etoile):

was packed with ITAM professionals from some of France’s biggest and best companies – all eager to learn and talk about ITAM!

Throughout the course of the day, we discussed a wide range of topics including:

• How to build an ITAM team
• The relation between ITIL & ITAM
• Oracle Java Licensing
• Audits (across a range of vendors)
• Cloud, both SaaS and IaaS
• FinOps
• Open Source

And more. Most of the day was delivered in French although, sadly, I had to deliver mine in English…peut- être l’année prochaine?!

Thank you to all the sponsors, attendees, and everyone else who helped make Wisdom France 2019 such a fantastic event. I hugely enjoyed hosting it and I’m already looking forward to 2020!

What’s Next?

In the run up to this year’s conference, we published our first French language content on the ITAM Review – which you can find here – https://itassetmanagement.net/francais/.

We want to keep this going throughout 2020 and beyond but we’d like your help; we’re looking for people to work with us to create original French content – if that’s you, please get in touch here.
We’re currently finalising our plans for 2020. We know we’ll be returning to Paris with another awesome, action-packed day around October next year but we’re also looking at what we can do in between to help the French ITAM industry continue to grow and strengthen.
