With submissions closing today, we want to introduce you to our judging panel – the people behind the scenes responsible for scoring and carefully selecting winners of the ITAM Review Excellence Awards 2021.
This year, members of the ITAM Forum will serve as the Excellence Awards’ judging panel.
As a global not-for-profit trade body for the advancement of the ITAM profession, the ITAM Forum is committed to raising awareness for ITAM, promoting the business benefits it brings, and introducing ISO certification to the industry.
This year’s judging panel consists of:
Martin Thompson, Owner & Founder, The ITAM Review
Martin is owner and founder of The ITAM Review, an online resource for worldwide ITAM professionals.
Martin is also the founder of ITAM Forum, a not-for-profit trade body for the ITAM industry.
On a voluntary basis Martin is a contributor to ISO WG21 which develops the ITAM International Standard ISO/IEC 19770.
He is also the author of the book “Practical ITAM – The essential guide for IT Asset Managers”, a book that describes how to get started and make a difference in the field of IT Asset Management. In addition, Martin developed the PITAM training course and certification.
Prior to founding the ITAM Review in 2008 Martin worked for Centennial Software (Ivanti), Silicon Graphics, CA Technologies and Computer 2000 (Tech Data).
When not working, Martin likes to ski, hike, motorbike, and spend time with his young family.

Melody is currently the head of IT Asset & Configuration Management at Toyota Motor North America, and is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the ITAM Forum. Prior to her role at Toyota, she managed a global team of Software Asset Management experts and advised a portfolio of clients on various matters including Software Licensing, Audit & Compliance, Information Security, and Emerging Technologies. She has also served as Chief Information Officer and is currently an Advisor for Diversity & Inclusion startup Kanarys.
Originally from New York, Melody has lived in Texas for the last few decades, and loves to travel and try exotic foods. She spends her free time gardening, enjoying live music shows, and spending time with her two boys.

Elise Cocks, Manager of License and IT Asset Management, Freddie Mac
Elise has been practicing SAM and ITAM for 11 years at Freddie Mac in the Washington DC area. Elise grew a SAM program and team from scratch and constantly looks for ways to mature their ITAM program. Outside of work, Elise is an avid gardener and enjoys riding horses.
Kylie Fowler, Principal Consultant, ITAM Intelligence
Kylie is an experienced Software Asset Manager and Software Category Manager with a track record of enabling companies to optimise their IT estate through the creation of best practice and compliant SAM frameworks. She is adept at leading vendor negotiations to drive outcomes that maximise IT investment and develops highly responsive SAM strategies that deliver reduced costs through efficient licence management and support future direction requirements.
Originally from Darwin, in Australia, Kylie moved to the UK for 6 months with a plan to earn some ££s and travel around Europe but is still living in London 23 years later! She currently operates as an independent ITAM consultant and coach (and has done since 2009), supporting organisations including Balfour Beatty, Directline Insurance and Thames Water to leverage the benefits of IT asset management and achieve critical business objectives.
Kylie is passionate about ITAM and her garden, and is currently enjoying the first flush of strawberries every morning with her breakfast. Sometimes life is about simple pleasures!

Sinisa has over 20 years of IT experience, covering various positions and technologies from system engineer and project manager to general manager and co-founder.
He holds over 10 years of management experience, managing GeminiSix with over 20 SAM professionals, leading infrastructure services team with over 35 engineers. He is responsible for delivering SAM and IT services, sales, presales and business development, budgeting and monitoring operational costs, team investments and training.
Sinisa’s hobbies include traveling, reading, tennis, basketball, gym, and snowboarding.

Darryl has had nearly 2 decades in the software eco-system at a publisher, distributor, reseller and global system integrator. This means he has seen the best and worst of each side of the engagement model and negotiating table.
Now within a provider of end-to-end software and cloud technology solutions, SoftwareONE, Darryl leads a set of 4 large practices with over 1,000 people, covering every element of the software lifecycle, while developing new marketplaces and automation models to streamline the world of ITAM and Cloud.
Darryl loves winter sports (snowboarding) and mountain biking, is a big foodie and traveller (54 countries so far) and grew up surfing on the East Coast of South Africa to an ex-pat family, now based in London.
