With each new year comes the inevitable objective to find cost savings. I remember having a personal objective to do this – as a support analyst! Not easy. Fortunately, for ITAM teams, there are many opportunities to cut costs without affecting services. Within your organisation you are uniquely placed to understand your environment and shine a light on cost inefficiencies.
Our Online Summit will present you with multiple approaches to software cost reduction, across the entire software lifecycle. At the end of the summit you will leave equipped to determine which opportunities you should prioritise and how you should convince your leadership team and other stakeholders to back you.
Our agenda is as follows.
I will start with an overview of the topic, outlining the opportunities at each stage of the lifecycle.
Michael Høegh Vilain from ReLicense will explore opportunities to reduce the costs of moving to the Cloud. Michael has over 30 years’ experience in IT, coming from roles in IBM, Microsoft, and Crayon. He now heads up business development for ReLicense AG in northern Europe.
Michael will be followed by Brendan Walsh, Chief Commercial Officer for Origina. Brendan will explore how third-party support could reduce the cost of your IBM estate. Brendan will be familiar to many of you as a regular webinar and podcast speaker.
That covers the first hour. After a short break we’ll be joined by David Foxen, founder of SAMBeast Consulting and ITAM Review alumni. David will share his vast experience of ITAM at the sharp end and look at how getting audit ready will help reduce your software costs.
Next up is Lennart Martens, Key Account Manager for Preo AG. Lennart will be joined by Stéphane Joret from Liscience. Stéphane is a contributor to ITIL4 with almost 30 years of experience focused in ITAM & ITSM. Lennart & Stéphane will explore how a professional standards-based approach to SAM can yield cost savings.
We’ll wrap the event up with our always educational and lively panel session – your opportunity to put questions to our speakers and kick off 2020 with all you need to meet your software cost reduction goals.
