State of UK ITAM

It’s always useful for us to get a view of how certain subjects are affecting ITAM professionals and our latest “State of UK ITAM” survey covers a few hot topics! We’re looking at:

  • Brexit
  • SaaS
  • IaaS
  • Future Technology
  • Tools
  • Hardware Asset Management

And it only takes about 3 – 5 minutes to complete the survey.

Please take part here – State of UK ITAM

Why are we doing this?

Ultimately, it’s so we can better understand what’s keeping you busy and to provide resources that can help you  😁

Brexit

The UK has left the EU and, while the eventual impact of Brexit is yet to be seen, we think it’s good for everyone to get a handle on some key elements that might impact ITAM. We think these questions will give you a good idea of your readiness and either help confirm that you’re pretty well prepared or give you a steer on a few things to look into.

SaaS and IaaS

The use of the cloud – both subscription software and public cloud infrastructure – is constantly increasing, with organisations at very different levels of maturity when it comes to understanding their estate and potential risks.

Here we’re looking to understand which apps and providers you use, how you use them, and what – if any – your concerns are around cloud.

Future Technology

While there are several things that could go here, we’ve focused on Containers and Serverless. Again, we’re looking to understand how common these emerging technologies are, who is – and isn’t – using them, what they’re being used for, and any worries you might have about managing them.

Tools

We’d like to get an updated view of the tool landscape, across on-premises and cloud.

Hardware Asset Management

This is an area on which we are planning to focus more going forwards, so we have just a couple of questions to get a baseline of where HAM sits among all you wonderful ITAM Review readers 😁

What are we going to do with it all?

We will be running some webinars to delve into the results and to look at potential next steps based on your feedback, as well as publishing 2 whitepapers. The first webinar will look at reducing IT spend across software & infrastructure and the second will look at reducing the risk of software audits.

We will also use the results and feedback to help shape and direct the next phase of our content throughout 2020 – helping us pinpoint the exact issues and topics you want to hear about.
